Pankaj Shankar, a professionally trained and experienced journalist with a sound knowledge of socio, political and economic developments in India and the World, is a documentary film maker, experienced cartoonist and an accomplished photographer.

He is now the Director of multi-media production house named Independent Newmedia Agency Pvt Ltd which regularly produces episodes for the popular Savdhaan India program of Life OK of Star TV network channel. Already eight episodes have been produced under him.

Independent Newmedia Agency Pvt Ltd (INA) has been striving to establish itself as a media and audio -video production house to provide unique audio-visual content. Our efforts are to target neglected rural India. We try to highlight the local issues and the problem concerned to common people. All the programmes produces by the company were rural-centric and could catch the people’s eyes with a unique approach and style.

Further, he was the creative producer of the Hindi serial named – Tulsi More Angna which was produced for DD national. This 52 episode serial was telecast on every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 PM. This serial catered to the rural masses and also fictionalizes how a village girls turns out to be a good entrepreneur. He also was the creative producer of another Hindi serial named – Purva Suhani Aayi Re which also was telecast on DD national.

Another series Jaanne Ka Haq, initially made by him is still being telecast on Doordarshan News. A true professional who possesses rich experience in print as well as broadcast news management, he has proven record of efficient handling of TV news and current affairs programmes in a highly competitive environment and is adept at organizing team of reporters for live coverage of big events like human tragedies, riots, general elections etc.
